GM and Ford are working to standardize more of their product line worldwide to cut costs while VW is going to opposite direction...
Sounds like a good outlet for cars from a newly independent Opel...
Opel has a lot of good world class products that would make sense over here, especially when gas prices go back up.
KVUE News, the ABC affiliate in Austin, also went HD yesterday.
We have HD Theater (formerly Discovery HD Theater), not Discovery HD in Austin. We will be getting the HD simulcast of the Discovery Channel on Tuesday.
"Is the big surprise going to be that Bluray is expensive and has annoying fanboys for the next year, or that HDDVD is cheap and doesn't have disney movies for the next year?"

I vote option 3. Both camps' fanboys will continue to be equally annoying, and nothing will change.
The Ford Escape is technically not an SUV, but a crossover.

It's built on a smaller frame that has more in common with a car, hence the really good better gas milage (I can get around 40mpg in city driving in my '08 Escape Hybrid).

I don't know about all states, but in Texas I don't believe it's considered a truck because of its smaller size. It sits about 2 feet lower than an Explorer, which is a true SUV.
Not sure about other markets, but we definitely have ESPN U here on Time Warner in Austin.
No problems with my Santa Rosa 15 incher.
Not only is it good festival food, but it's cheap festival food. Unlike most big events that I've been to, they don't charge you a premium just because you choose to eat on-site. It's a very good deal IMO.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
