there might be threezillion better spec'd phones out there BUT all of them running not iPhone OS.
"... Toshiba TG01(Way bigger screen, Thinner, faster and Better OS" ... Did you just say Better OS? The TG01 comes with Windows Mobile 6.1 and a just another on top home screen UI - thats definitely not a "Better OS": it's the same inconsistent and modern-API-less stuff like all that creapy WinMo phones out there.
all that buzz and misunderstanding about "cupcake" and now we're getting sober and have to realize:

a) the whole android developing process is quite good comparable to Mac OS X the stages - it takes time (long time) to have a really feature rich and stable base - any one remembers 10.0? ...

b) android is just a plattform from google, there is still only one android manufacturer on the market (samsung will be next month here in germany), t-mobile placed the g1 anywhere in the internet-fun-mobiles - so I didn't expect that much and the I guess the target audience doesn't care about exchange support - anyone who needs this will buy something else

c) the g1 has its limitations (screensize, connectors, memory) and was never ment to be the S-Class of android phones

I think there is nothing wrong with android, the g1 or the actual ota update - we're just at the beginning and its to early to start bashing google or htc or whatever - wait till the end of the year everything will be better. Or just look what the poor WinMo Users get from MS 2.5 years after the iPhone and over 1 year after Android
this exchange support comes from a an addon from htc - what is so surprising? a little research on xda would make that clear
It's a mockup based on a Touch HD - but nice if moto will bring up something like that ... with Android of course!
the best solution for one-handed operation
Bin schon gespannt auf mein Dev 1 unlocked phone - seit heut früh' im Paket zu mir unterwegs. Ich nehme mal an das wird hier im Frühjahr auch die T-Mob gelockte Variante sein, oder?
I've ordered today for free shipping to my sister in boston - she'll sent it for another 30 bucks to germany - great to have kinfolk all over the world ;-)
no, it's resistive but quite similar to that htc/samsung biotouch screens - if it's like the screen of the touch hd - it would be great!
Its pure size. The large screen gives the whole device so much usability - although the diamond has the same TF3D Interface - the HD makes it easy to use. It's fast and sensitive enough to compete with that screen on the iPhone. The Diamond ist to slow and to small ... you wouldn't believe that there is WinMo under the hood.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
