I have to say that was good :D
Hopefully they learnt their lesson once and for all :P
But still WinMo can do much more than android...
It's something new cause they support directx 10.1 where series 8 supported only 10.
Do you know how to read?!
That clock is for the graphics. It means 200Mhz for every core and it is rumoured to have four of them(for comparisong iphone probably has 100Mhz clock for one core GPU). We don't know anything about the CPU but believe iPhone won't stand a chance...
Do you even know what you are talking about?
K01 my dream device :D
If only I was sure that it will get wm7 coupled with HDMI output I would start saving money right away :)
It seems to be very similar to ARM's cortex family.
I wonder how this 'improvement' will affect battery life and how will it compare with upcoming cortex A9 which will probably appear on the market on the same time. This will be an interesting fight.
Actually snapdragon has ARMv7 based CPU. It is called scorpion and is something in between cortexA8 and A9. It combines integer performance of cortex A8 and A9 floating point performance thanks to 128bit NEON instructions. If everything should go right snapdragon should offer better CPU performance than competing A8 based SoC's until A9 comes with OoOE.

Considering that nvidias show off UI is just a custom made skin/application for winCE I wouldn't expect similar performance on winmo. It serves it cause and toshiba's device is probably totally not optimised for hardware graphic acceleration yet so I wouldn't judge its performance until we see final version/revision.
Maybe it will be the first device to use the new OS developed by symbian foundation. If so it gets even more interesting.
Actually Snapdragon should be at least 2x faster than tegra. Tegra is ARM11 core and snapdragon is ARMv7(the same as cortex A8). This means that it should be at least 1.8x faster clock-to-clock performance wise.
About graphical and multimedia performance of snapdragon. We haven't seen any demos of 3D graphic or 720p video so we should wait until that and then judge. Tegra was nice to watch. It was supposed to gain attention but we don't now how it will perform in real life conditions. Snapdragon should offer roughly similar video performance according to specs and it too can use HDMI (dev board at this years CES had one).
Final confrontation will be exciting and after that I'll make my mind which one is better.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
