sort of unrelated, BUT...

"The year is 1983. Ronald Reagan is serving his first term as President of the United States. Sally Ride makes history as the first woman astronaut in space, as a crew member aboard the space shuttle Challenger. The average household income is $20,885, and the cost of a postage stamp is up to 20 cents. Cabbage Patch dolls and Nintendo Entertainment Systems are big hits."

I'm pretty sure that the NES didn't come out in the US until 1985. A certain PR writer needs to re-read the wiki page he referenced.
Ken, there was no "Jolta" or "Jarma".

I think you mean Jarama. Besides the LM002, the last 2+2 Lamborghini produced was the Urraco
a years supply of old spice products? sure, why not.
awesome, still have time to enter! i don't need this tv, but my sister does.
there's another short hands on video at gizmodo about the modbook:
http://gizmodo.com/345214/hands+on-axiotron-modbook-tablet-mac

i was seriously looking at this as my next computer, but pricing it out, it may actually be better to get a a regular macbook, and a wacom cintiq 12WX. sure, you would have to carry both around, but at least you can update the computer in the future.

looking at the modbook coverage on the web, i'm actually more interested in the new version of sketchbook pro that was being demoed, because designers who use intel macs need that app badly.
"Hey if they call it 'concept' then they should try to be a little bit more realistic"

wait...what? what part of "concept" don't you understand???
you guys know that Porsche Design Group is kind of a separate entity from Porsche AG (the car company), right?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
