@Rizzo

You are aware AMD has had a 6 core cpu out for some time now, right? These are only gonna be in servers and supercomputing for quite some time now, so you don't need to worry your pretty little consumerist head yet.
It's been a hot minute since we've heard someone say "hot minute."
@pee tee

Sounds like Crystal Pepsi
Too cloudy. I don't want to have to be connected to the internet all the time.
You donut-eaters are all the same fat, stinky and oily. How could you even like eating donuts?? It's like drinking vegtable oil with sugar flavoring.

Now, Bagels are the best toroid shaped food. They are healthy and delicious, and very customizable (they can be sweet or salty, can your donut do salty????!!)

How is it news that a store is selling iPhones???? Maybe if it were 2005 this would be something we care about.
Don't go Android. I had an ADP 1 for 7 months and found android to be a rather terrible phone platform. There is so much GUI lag that you will be pulling your hair out and screaming after a couple months. Network connecting and refreshing SUCKS; sometimes after leaving a dead zone it would take 10+ minutes to get a signal again, and wifi cuts out and is slow as hell. Maybe around Android 4.0 or 5.0 it will be decent enough to use for a smart phone.

If you need something "open" (what advantage are you getting from Android source being open if you're using a locked down carrier phone??) go with the Nokia N900. Maemo is going to be awesome and it is true-blood linux not a frankenstein. Also, it's nice to have the mobile-OS experience of Nokia on your side.
My miserable life is made a little bit happier thinking about the fucks at MS losing sleep over this tonight.
I want to go there
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
