Snapdragon!
Hi Nilay
Reviewers somehow keep missing is THE REASON I will never buy an iPhone:

MUSIC!
With the iPhone, you have to use quicktime, itunes, a proprietory cable. You cannot drag and drop folders of music to and from your phone.

I detest all of that (and I own two mac computers of my own). I like being able to plug in to a generic USB, on ANY computer anywhere, and just add or remove or copy music to and from the device as much as I want, no interference from a freak controlling Apple.

This makes iPhone (or an iPod for that matter) completely unacceptable to me.

Mark UK.
Hi Nilay
Interesting review on the multitouch keyboard, but for me, one of the things reviewers often miss WRT a disadvantage of the iPhone, is what for me is THE REASON I will never buy one.

God, I can't wait.

REAL Multitasking with a 1ghz processor and
no need for quicktime
no need for proprietary cables
no restriction of dragging and dropping (or copying) your music FROM/to your phone
no need for itunes or stupid syncing limitations etc
no special cable to connect to any computer
no need to encode my divx movies to play on my phone
no need to hack the phone to be able to use as a modem while on the train/ away from home
no worry about batteries when traveling, just carry a spare or two

I wonder if it can
shoot 720p video
use a stylus (I love the way WM phones like the touch HD allow you to jot down notes while on the speakerphone - on the phone)
output video

yeah baby, could easily be my next phone - for sure.
SYMBIAN?? My god, when are Nokia going to give that up as a bit of old history!
whew.
Nice looking phone, but the OS is soooo yesterday.
OMG... Amiga!!

If it runs Wizzy's Quest, the most incredible platform game I have ever played, I will buy it just for that.
Only Mario Galazy comes close to Wizzy...

aah,
yes,
well...

methinks we do not all have a superb brain like you obviously do, and even if we did, we would probably not use our heads quite as effectively as you.

so show us inferior beings some mercy will you?

yours, not quite as cleverly,

mark.
ooh,
add to that

a removable battery
a micro-SD memory slot
I reckon it will be an HTC Touch HD killer?
naaa, probably not yet, but what would be nice are:

drag and drop music folders to load music without the dreaded iTunes
ability to use the phone as a modem
ability directly and immediately play generic divx movies downloaded from the web
a standard usb cable to drag and drop folders of music anywhere anytime
a decent screen (800x480 would do)
ability to copy and paste
view offline html pages
use proper GPS instead of triangulation

those would be great for me...

"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
