How nice of Darpa to give the midwest a chance at doing anything. Apparently America doesn't exist West of Virginia, East of California, and North of Texas. I'm guessing the Tennessee balloon floated up from Texas.
Took the words out of my mouth. Bad ass looking vehicle.
Where are we going to get all of this fresh water?
I completely agree with both posters. If the environment isn't right or beyond belief zombies appearing from a room you were in 30 seconds ago. It just won't fly. I personally am a fan of slow zombies and head shots. The speed of zombies isn't what is scary. The fear comes from never ending threat of the zombies trying to get to you.

Something like border lands would be kind of cool. You could start off all alone and as you level up you could find a pocket of humanity where you then transition to multiplayer mmo and fight for the common good.
I saw one of these on a truck in St. Louis a few days ago. A sweet looking vehicle.
My first car was one of these. Bought it for $500. It was rusted out, the electric was shot, and the AC didn't work. At 65 mph it would rattle and shake but if you pushed through to 70 it would smooth out ride like a dream. Some bondo, coat of paint, new clutch, and wiring around the circuit panel and I had a car I sold for $500 5 years after I bought it.

You never forget your first.
One issue I have with the more expensive apps is that you can't get your money back for an app that fails to meet your expectations. Lite versions have done a lot to help with that but the issues still exists.
It sounds like the post answered its own question. It is almost like windows. If you want everything you have to buy the ultimate version everything else is handicapped in some way, shape, or form.
Do you have a source quoting the slim as being profitable at $300? Just wondering.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
