DO Not apply the audio fix to verizon's version. It causes the phone to hang at the HTC startup screen necessitating a hard reset to recover.

Recieved my Dev-1 on Friday, played with it all weekend on AT&T. Compared to my other phone (iPhone 3G) this is pretty sweet. The iphone does a number of things better, but after I switched to the cheaper unlimited data plan, this is a really good alternative. It looks SO much better in person and I LOVE the keyboard/trackball! (I have big hands..and that 'chin' is not even noticeable)

Edge is the most amazing thing, it works nearly as well (and sometimes better!) than 3G on the iphone. I am VERY impressed. Now I'm wondering why my original iPhone 2G was so aweful on edge.

I am writing my first bit of code for it right now! I'm am wondering though about firmware upgrades, and how that will play out for this model.

If you are a geek in search of a new toy (not necessarily your only toy) I highly recommend this.

"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
