Hmm, waiting for a call back on a interview with Palm...
Up here (50 miles north of NYC) we have a really slow version of Edge. Hell, a cup and a string have better data rates than the crap we have here. In AT&T's defense the network is former Dobson CellOne but they also should have known what they were getting when they bought the damned network. Now we get delays because they supposedly have hardware issues in upgrading to 3G. Morons.
I live in NY and unfortunately in an area with no 3G coverage from AT&T. It makes having a iPhone 3GS a painful experience especially since even the Edge speeds up here are really slow. Verizon definitely has a better network but I do love my iPhone...
Another deal breaker is no pass-through for dock cable used in to play audio through car stereos...
Will the public be allowed to attend? I want to go! I live up near Monticello!
Why on earth are they demo'ing beat up proto's? You never put a used device in a display for a trade show! Unless they don't have any production units available...
Gee why don't they offer it to people like me stuck in Orange County NY with crappy coverage and no hope of 3G in the near future? AT&T is so very very stupid.
Gee, if they can just add tethering and get some 3G in my area the money I am paying might be worth it!
Hope it's better than the proto hardware and software I played with.
I just wish my iTunes wasn't always on perpetual beach ball. This sucks big time.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
