i work for o2 and can confirm that according to the price tickets we have been sent it will be free on the £45 tariff with 1200 mins, 500 msgs and a free bolt on
i wouldn't say it's a slip as the magazine would have been available from tomorrow, most likely including information on the SE Aino and Satio both due for release Oct 5th
It's definitely coming to o2 uk as i work for them and it's coming in as the HTC LEO according to the price ticket we got in today.
biggest is o2, but if vodafone buy out t-mobile then it will be vodafone, although it has been reported in a newspaper that the palm pre would be available on o2
it comes out in the uk sometime in july with o2
a huge rip off, in the uk you can get the modem for £30 and pay another £15 for 3GB data which will last 30 days and that's not even the cheapest service available. That works out to around $50 for the modem and $25 for the 3GB data
the Samsung i7500 will be coming out on o2uk soon, it's on their future handsets release list for the end of june, early july
@tande, i agree with what you are saying regarding the really early announcements, it doesn't look like the Idou will be coming out for a while though, they're still developing the OS, although it will be symbian they'll have their own interface on top. Let's just hope it still has some of the best specs around when it does finally come out.
judging by all your posts you seem to have a real vendetta against sony ericsson, if anything the x1 is one of the best WinMo phones around although like any handset it does have it's share of problems. The Idou when it comes out won't be up against the HTC Thoth, Whitestone or Archos or Toshiba handset. It will be going up against other high-end camera phones. The N97 won't be without it's share of problems when it comes out too, just like the N96 and N95. The other handsets you mentioned are WinMo smartphones, with the exception of the archos/TI one which i'm not sure about. The only handset that will be going up against these handsets will be the X2, which will probably run on WinMo 6.5 or Android.

Most people who own the X1 are fairly happy with it and if you have or had one xda-developers can help make your experience with it even better.
i think engadget have made a mistake, o2 are the only network to offer the iphone in the uk, vodafone have iphone deals in parts of europe, south africa, australia and new zealand
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
