Why didn't they just add UMA to their phones and people can use any regular wifi networks. That would take a load off voice and data from the towers , correct?

I couldn't agree more. Extremely frustrating when all these imports arise with no US 3G. Im wondering why i still pay at&t, as I have a super cheap plan with sprint lower then sero but keep at&t line around to play with phones.

Engadget thank you or helping me stay busy at work for 12 hours a day! I am in the auto business and sit around with nothing to do and no income please help me get a fuze!

"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
