@Hbishop Well I am sorry you feel that way, but CA is a blue state. I suggest if you want a more conservative approach you live in FL or GA or TX where they will cater your ideas better.

I don't think there will be any lack in taxes to CA. Television manufactures will make the change and you know prices will stay high on these new types of TVs, and it is a change they should already be working toward vigorously, it is just this bill put the pressure on. It is good to see California being progressive and trying set a standard which we hopefully will all follow some day soon.

Well I think Engadget after this platform has matured you should do a review of Apple, RIM, Maemo, Pre, Android (current version) and any other major platform and point out flexibilty, future proofness, developer platform, user experience, speed and flow, common aspects(GPS, Video/Media handeling. You may have already done this but I think a yearly or bi-yearly post would greatly keep it all in perspective :)
