@DaveJO. ...And here was me thinking I was the only one anally retentive enough to comment on the fact there are no jets on this aircraft. Keep up the good work DaveJO!
This is great news but I already subscribe to Sky and their Sky Player add on, so do I get a discount? Also, If I'm somewhere that has decent wifi, I tend to be somewhere I can also watch TV on the big screen. At other times I have to use a wifi "hotspot", the bandwidth is so terrible its barely better than 3G.
Is it just me or does this not look like it should fall over backwards?

I'm guessing the bulk of the weight is in the screen section below the hinge and the weight of the screen above the hinge is counterbalanced with the keyboard, but it still looks as though you could blow on the screen and it wall fall backwards!
Im in the UK and I don't think its going to do well over here. Everyone I know opts for an iPhone or a Blackberry. Theres been more hype about the iPhone being available on Vodaphone / T-Mobile than there has been about the Pre.
Hate to join the "Why would you buy this when you could get...(Insert your fanboy choice here)" crowd but I can't see a need. It's too small to do what I need my netbook for, and too big for what I use my smartphone for.
Has anyone actually found out the genuine reason why Apple hasn't implemented AVRCP? I looked around on various forums back when 3.0 was released and couldn't find a proper answer. This was after shelling out some £65 on a set of Sennheiser MM200s (which sound great btw) because Apple stated that iPhone 3.0 would finally support Bluetooth stereo. They just didn't mention the lack of AVRCP. B**tards.
There is another reason why BT headset use in the EU will be greater than in the US and its the reason why I think you'll find most European drivers find using a BT headset safer than using their handset whilst at the wheel. In Europe (the UK especially) most cars on the road have manual transmission meaning you have to have both hands more readily available than when driving an automatic which (correct me if I'm wrong) is prevalent in most vehicles in the US..
@Matt G. Wow. Thanks. I learned something today!
@Alex

How about Because its there, and we haven't even begun to properly explore it yet.
That's the problem with humanity now. We're losing our sense of adventure...because of the cost!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
