You should see the Bell stores here in Canada. There are barely any signs of the Palm Pre's existence, both figuratively and literally. My local Bell store has replaced the Palm pedestal and Pre signage with the iPhone equivalents. The local Telus hasn't gone that far, but they just hide the CDMA phones in the back of the store wile all the new HSPA phones get a neon green 3G+ treatment
Ted: I don't generally watch sports, especially when I'm on vacation (Might as well stay home). But on those odd times I need to catch a TV show, Orb has been invaluable. Have you tried that?

Richard: It sounds like it's a device problem. Have you brought it into a Genius Bar to see if they can help you out? My uncle had an iPhone with reception problems and it was promptly replaced.

and by the way, while there may not be an app for that, there certainly are peripherals for that!
Could we all please act like mature people and stop with the iPhone vs Every Other phone arguments? Havent we ALL had enough of it?

Clearly its less of an iPhone issue and more of an AT&T network issue. I've used my iPhone 3G in Canada, T-mo in the states, 3 and Vodafone in Hong Kong, as well as both China Mobile and China Unicom. With the SOLE exception of China Unicom's crappy network in Beijing, I've had zero problems with my phone and I'm VERY glad I decided to purchase an iPhone. It negates the need to carry a separate iPod and still has the best mobile internet browser. And guess what? Some of us actually use our "75k apps" regularly.

If you're gonna grill someone, grill AT&T. Rogers here drops my call maybe once a month.

and please, don't feed the trolls. Both the Apple Fanatics and the "HTC IZ DA BOMB" trolls.
Maybe I'm just a minority, but I actually use and LIKE Norton 360. Its WAYY better than the old Symantec Antivirus crap.

That being said, I lived off of Avast for a while and, crappy interface aside, its one of the best free antivirus programs out there.
I can't wait for the Pre. If they get it up here on GSM, the iPhone might've met it's match
AT&T and Tmo are the only GSM carriers in the states. Verizon and Sprint use CDMA, which is a completely different technology. It's like trying to plug a firewire into a USB port. It just won't happen

I'm sorry, but unless you are on either one of the GSM networks, you're stuck with laggy clicking screen
What is it with that? I guarentee 988% of those models don't have a clue how to use the product in the first place.

And it's actually REALLY creepy how white they are.
Trust me, you REALLY don't want Rogers to buy AT&T. Right now, we're hoping that either AT&T or T-Mobile buys this price gouging company off Ted's hands
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
