With the poor build quality of the previous x-slims and the lackluster specs on this new model, this laptop better be $500 or less, or you'd be much better off going with an Acer Timeline or ASUS UL and some of the upcoming Lenovos.
Persians everywhere just came buckets

You idiot, all of this stuff are "RUMORS" rumors are not facts. You're not very bright, are you?
I never thought about it, but the black level on the screen is really dark which would be a good indicator of an OLED screen. But if it is an OLED, it might have a weird resolution, and possibly not as dense as the droids. I would rather have the 854x480 lcd panel in the droid paired with the snapdragon hardware, then an OLED with less resolution. Here's to hoping its got the same kinda pixel density the droid has.

Duh, I was just pointing out that there are no Android devices with good physical keyboards
I really wish they would make an Android phone with hardware similar to their WinMo keyboard sliders. The HTC G1 and Moto Droid physical keyboards are kind of crap, yet their WinMo sliders have awesome keyboards. Why must they do this?
@Cheesus Crust

Those lenses give you the option of having different focal lengths, but at the end everything is still going through the low quality lense in the camera, which hurts sharpness, clarity, and color immensely
It would be nice if the cameras on our phones were good enough to make point-and-shoots obsolete. All these megapixel increases are kind of useless when the optics on these phones aren't getting any better.
@DefPoet

The one with the Ion is called the 1201N. They should clarify that.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
