Not nearly as bad as what Verizon did to the HTC Touch Pro/Diamond.
Here's the thing about the apps, most of those apps are dependent on WiFi, and usually if I'm in WiFi, I can bring my laptop and listen to Pandora just as easily. If not, then I'll have to SETTLE with my normal music that I like. The fact that the iPod Touch has Safari and the App Store is cool, but it's so WiFi dependent that I honestly don't care. Of all of the non-WiFi dependent apps in the App Store, most of those are total gimmicks, (Jelly Car, iSteam, That's What She Said). Most people get bored of the little games a few months after getting the iPod Touch. The iPod Touch does them really well, but paying so much for a device where you cannot access the coolest features 90% of the time is annoying.
I would much rather have a device that can have great sound quality, great video quality, and all of the features Apple never includes, (like FM radio, Bluetooth, Voice Recording, Customizable UI). These are the things that other companies put in their MP3 players. These are the things I want. The iPod touch is nice, and it's a consideration, but I'd rather go for a Samsung P3.
The Samsung P3 looks better.

The Omnia does have 8gb of built-in storage, but it also has an expansion slot allowing you to get to 24gb.
That won't happen until 2014
Oh my God, I just came. This is odd, Motorola actually making a cool phone, and there's another legit Android Phone.
Agreed. My mom uses a cell phone that's at least 10 years old. It only functions as a phone, but can it make calls? Yes, better than the iphone.
Screw you AT&T already has enough awesome phones. Sprint or Verizon should get this, (T-Mo already has the G1 so it shouldn't have 2 android phones).
That's a full 10 megapixels better than the iphone.
Totally agreed. I value a good interface and easy navigation over so many things. That's why I never use my cable's On Demand service, because its interface is god awful, even if they have some decent selection. The iPhone's shortcomings turn me off a little bit, but few phones have been able to match its interface. In a year and a half, when my Sprint contract ends, Android is probably the route I'll go.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
