HTC Wimax Android 2.0 phone that can do TETHERING. Yes please!
The irony is, if you'd actually wear this thing, your wrist is probably too skinny to keep it from sliding off like a bracelet.
Doesn't sound like there is actually any encryption involved in the so-called DRM. If there is, somebody messed up the implementation very badly.
Does this mean we can have Hulu on iPhone soon, or not?
This will be HDMI boiled down to fewer pins on the phone's dock connector, rather than a separate mini-HDMI connector. Mini-HDMI is 19 pins, this is 5 pins. Then a dock converts from MHL to HDMI. Mobile phone makers get to design in a smaller connector, plus charge everyone an extra $90 for a dock or cable. The dock can also power the phone so the battery doesn't go dead while playing video.

Mini HDMI is already on a bunch of digital cameras that can shoot/play 720p. Why is it not good enough for mobile phones?
Two calls, two store visits, and one look at the web site (per carrier), this qualifies as a statistical survey? Anyone seriously considering changing carriers has done that much already, plus asked their friends for opinions, etc. This doesn't really tell us much.
The measurements are in units of Watts per kilogram? Kilogram of what, handset? So a lighter weight handset with the exact same radio gets rated as more dangerous? Doesn't make any sense.
1080p h.264 video recording in your mobile phone? Are we to believe this feature will be in real devices by late 2010?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
