This is supposed to be what all the manufacturers have been waiting for, right? So we might see more Android handsets to be released soon??
Seems like a weird rumour to fake...where's the upside?
Ok...my last comment seems to have disappeared. If you notice that there are two dates - a delivery date and a scheduled date... both of which are identical for the two handsets with a 'scheduled' date - which leads me to think that the launch date WILL be the 16th. However, this is a Saturday, not a Sunday... which is when they are usually launched by Sprint.

"Seems like you could make a solid business out of providing hosted push notification servers for the iPhone."

But you'd surely still have to have your own servers to send the information you need pushed to iPhones to the servers pushing them to iPhones, wouldn't you. (Yeah -- get your head around that!)
I was on Gizmodo (sorry!), and someone made the comment that with Palm being in the state that they are in financially, that there is no way Palm should be thinking about product lines, and the future... And I couldn't help but think how gigantically moronic that was - seriously, if a company is on the verge of bankruptcy, preparing a Hail Mary, then surely the best thing they can do is think through their products thoroughly. I'm glad Engadget readers are, by and large, more intelligent. Palm has to make sure everything in their arsenal that can give them even a slight competitive edge is available, or else... http://thephonelounge.com/?p=163
Are those 4m iPhones the ones that are expected to be launched in June, or the ones that are destined to be released with China Unicom in May? http://thephonelounge.com/?p=312
I believe it's supposed to be until the end of 2009.
The Pre! Oh wait...maybe not.
Big surprise here - they're not going to have spent all year, and even last week, saying they'll release it FH 2009, and then suddenly there is a huge delay. They already have working Pre models, and it can't take them much longer to ship the phones themselves. I just wish they'd get on with it, because I can't wait to actually use it. Just my 2 cents. http://www.thephonelounge.com
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
