i upgraded to this phone today... my first smartphone and i like it. like the engadget review said, build quality is questionable and the screen border is annoying. also, the browser is meh but hopefully skyfire will (soon) fix that.

if you use your sound often on your computer (music, movies, games, etc), you should definitely invest in a sound card.

here's my personal experience:
- i went from onboard realtek ac97 to a creative audigy 2 value ($50 when i bought 2 years ago?) and there was definitely a difference
- after reading some posts, i decided to output audio to my Logitech Z5550 control console via optical cable instead of analog stereo wire. there is definitely a difference. it's subtle if you're not trying to spot differences.

what does this mean? my logitech Z5500 control console has a better DAC than my Audigy 2 Value sound card.

i think all the posts suggesting optical to an external DAC is a good idea :)
