Given the amount of hype it caused, the X1 was a pretty big letdown.

Of course, I assume that the reviews were based off the stock rom so I can't say anything about whatever you might be using, but for the price(which is incredibly high might I add) there seem to be far better options out there. Perhaps there's nothing wrong with the phone itself, but unfortunately it's been crippled by WinMo.

But if you like the phone, then more power to you! Personally I tried it and don't like it though, mostly due to WinMo and the resistive screen.

but the Behold 2 IS a smartphone
Just what I wanted but didn't find for Black Friday!
hey the government says that it might stop me from getting killed while driving!

Or at the least it'll stop me from getting a ticket..

If they're in the same price range then I'd definitely go for the X10 too. Just because Android > WinMo 6.5

Of course, that's a personal opinion, I'm sure there are some people who prefer WinMo but most people agree that WinMo really needs to be reworked; even Microsoft admitted so.

You probably should wait for a review of the X10 though just to make sure that the Rachel UI isn't just good looking but actually usable. I actually just prefer stock Android though just because you get your updates faster that way, but I can see why people would want a different UI.

The reviewer seemed to make a pretty valid argument to me; no idea what you're talking about. Nobody can deny that the iPhone is a great phone, not perfect of course, but it really changed the industry.

Sure, you can say that the phone will be upgradable to WinMo7 when available which might just make the phone worth getting then, but nobody will know until it's available. And, sadly, until then it seems that WinMo 6.5 is going to weigh the phone down with its shortcomings that the reviewer addressed quite clearly.

He didn't like the phone. Maybe you'll like it, but he's just giving his opinion. I don't see what you're complaining about, I assume you haven't even had a chance to use the phone, but you're already saying that the review is biased.

Unless it actually get subsidized by a carrier, that seems unlikely. Not to say it's a bad phone, even if the preproduction samples seem to be somewhat lacking in responsiveness, but just due to the price point, I don't see too many people picking it up no matter how great it turns out to be.

Current pre orders are going for $900+ sooo I doubt it's going to be so much better than the other android phones out especially when it's not even running 2.0 to make it have a huge impact on.. well the next iteration of this pie chart.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
