Who would buy this now with the iPhone and other quality phones out or on the very close horizon? Terrible timing. Two years ago this would have been killer. Today, it is not even worth it...
UMMMMM...it is $450 on Sprint/T-Mo minus $100 MIR for a total of $350.

It is $300 on Verizon minus $100 MIR for a total of $200...

That is a HUGE difference for the SAME phone...
Um....$199? Time for Sprint and T-Mo to lower their prices....
Am I the only one who thinks it's ridiculous for Palm to announce a Mini-Pre before they even have the details squared away on the original Pre???.....COME ON PALM.
slap a LG Dare touchscreen on that badboy and it might possibly be the PERFECT "dumbphone"...COME ON LG!....ugh

Now we have to wait til the EnV-4??

Gimme a break.
I think you guys may have gotten pwned....
I think I speak for all of us when I say:

"Who cares...."
Again...I must ask. Is there REALLY a market for this? How many people are saying to themselves..."you know what...I MUST have a game pad that I need to carry around with me at all times to play games using my Verizon OS phone...". Like Epsilon said above...there are no emulators for the Verizon OS...only VCAST games....which are usually pretty crappy as it is.
They GOT to get this out asap...

and they shouldn't freaking charge existing users to use it (like they do the blackberry app). The problem with XM/SIrius is they charge for EVERY radio you own. You should have to be charged for additional radios, but one subscription should be interchangable between media formats (ie: online, blackberry, iphone). Then they would MARKET this fact...and it'd be AWESOME.

Idiots...
um......FINALLY. I said it the second day I had my G1. The phone is great. All it needs is an onscreen keyboard for those lazy times I don't want to have to turn the phone landscape and then slide it to type a quick little message. About time T-Mo/Google. About time.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
