Add to his list of anti-credentials that he says

"Palm can't afford to wait a year while they make the transition from web apps to native apps in their SDK."

Palm's apps ARE Native, they just are written in web-language. The apps have access to internal storage, including a database, and can run without network connection.

Just one more iPhone lover looking to try to douse Palm's flame.
Now, where do you press to mute/ignore....
I'm no lawyer, but I think if you actively ensure your product doesn't work with another companies, isn't that "Refusal to deal" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Refusal_to_deal)? Now, if Apple does, in fact, release new functionality that causes the Pre (or any other device it doesn't explicitly support) to stop functioning, that's one thing, but if they release something like

if(device.profile=="PalmPre"){
throw(new CriticalErrorr());
}

I think that's against the law. Again, not a lawyer, but I'd like to hear from Nilay :)
Is there a better way to not bend your headphone cord? If the phone (or mp3 player, or whatever) is in my pocket, every time I sit I bring my headphone jack one step closer to death, but if I had a holster, it'd be safe...

Or maybe I should forgo the entire problem and get the best bag on earth http://tinyurl.com/la9bsj
I only have 1 question: Will it blend?
My favorite Posts are the comparisons between products (most recently, iPhone/Pre/BlackBerry/Symbian). I also really enjoy seeing the Keeping it Real Fake posts. Having fun intermingled with news is the reason I keep coming back to this site.
"It's locked in place, right?" "Yeah, Al, type the message" :: Al's hands are crushed as the slider is released:: "Gets funnier every time."
My interpretations:
"You are giving your consumers too many features!"
"One of your features makes us obsolete!"
"We're not a dumb pipe; the information we tunnel to our consumers is intelligent, so we must be, too!"
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
