so... is there any actual NEWS today.. or is this all you got joystiq?
I talked to someone at the Sprint store today, he said that the download will be available on the Sprint website sometime next week. WHen you login to your account, it should come up and tell you that there is a software update. Thanks for the post though Kevin!
Umm.. how and where do i get this?
I have to agree with Macattack.. im 23, and make probably less than the average salary.. and i just dropped $780 on my Xbox360 and games, and i have to say that so far im very very happy with it. The games are great, they look, sound and play beautifully, and it does everything that Microsoft has said it will do! It connects perfectly to my iPod, digital camera, and home network, not to mention all the GREAT content on Xbox Live! Where is Sony there? I dont see them announcing plans for online FREE game demos, arcade games, online stat records or anything of the sort! Dont get me wrong, i know the PS3 will be very powerful, and capable of doing a lot of things.. just there are a lot of things that are going to cost the consumer more money that arent needed.. I mean, how many people do YOU know that have 2 HDTVs? and who would actually take the time to transport their HDTV to a friends house just to play some games.. not likely there, sony.. Its obvious that Sony tried to make the most powerful system ever, but gave no consideration to the cost of developing software for it.. i mean developers are already complaining about how hard it is to develop for it, and we are probably still a year away from launch.. What does that mean, you ask? well.. it goes back to the old saying "time is money".. the more time it takes to make a game, the more money it will cost the consumer.. period! MS has done all the right things this time... great developer tools and support, great hardware, great UI, sweet online service, and excellent games!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
