heres a thought.... the reason the UI looked sluggish in the video is because the reviewer in all his infinite wisdom decided to do one handed recording. the idiot was all thumbs. he was going all over the place with his one hand and obviously had no clue what and where he was going. half the shit he said made no sense and had nothing to do with what his hand was doing.
not likely, would if there were any 3g bands i could use it on in canada.
who cares, read the small print under the data plans. it is highway robbery. my fido plan is almost 50% cheaper and it is still too expensive.
only an idiot would be stupid enough to even think of using telus. bad move on their part to not be competitive right away. their service is lousy and the only thing that has allowed them to keep from losing business is ignorance and stolen plans from rogers/fido. rogers have an ace in their pocket allowing them to offer multiple plans across multiple companies. if telus does not come out offering a decent data plan and relaxes its rules on tethering, they will make a whole lot of idiots out of people up here.

i see at least fido stepping forward with unbeatable offers. telus will not be getting customers from rogers/fido doing this, they are banking on keeping the suckers they already have in their impossible to break contracts.
is it not bad enough we have to read the crap? now we have to give him money?
uh yeah, I am in canada dumb ass.
us canadians have always known americans like shaft.
was not speculation. they just did not say which version it would start at. 1.6 was probably still in development and the announcement included versions in development. i suspect when all the non slider handsets with larger screens come out they will do so with a newer version not for current handsets.
its on Canadian site for the highly inflated price of 750.00. Think they missed the memo about the Canadian dollar going up on the way to being on par again?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
