I have a Pre, and I frikkin' love it! But I already have a shot up spider web crack in it from just having it in my back pocket and sitting down (i'm 125lbs so it's not like it should break under me i've put plenty of phones in my back pocket and not broke them ever). It's practically unnoticable but if you look at it from the side with the light hitting it right you can totally see it. Some parts of the touchscreen don't respond very well now because of that. I was just thinking about the iPhone because my cousin has one with a HUGE crack in the screen that's really obvious, but her touchscreen has been working fine forever and the same thing with my bestfriend's iPhone. I'm just saying maybe palm should make a more "roll with the punches" kind of phone next time around, people will like that a lot. also my power/lock button is f*cked cause my sister dropped my phone. Anyways, I'm just going to make some good shit up to the Sprint rep person at the store so I can get a replacement from my insurance on my phone.
Yea, my Pre has like 2 or 3 dead pixels. Kind of annoying...
Well I've kind of decided to keep it a secret so I can ensure a Palm Pre for myself on release date, but Idk not many people know of it and I'll sure as hell be there 2 hours before the store re-opens. I walked into a Sprint store in Valencia, California and I talked to the Sprint Rep. and just talked about discounts, contracts and all that technical stuff regarding the Pre and the lucky basterd said he got to play with the Pre for an hour and also that his roomie who is the guy that's going to train all the other Sprint store people on the Pre get's the Pre like 2 weeks before release date and this lucky guy get's to play with it all that time. Anyways he showed me on the Screen that select Sprint retail stores will be selling the Pre on June 5th starting at 6pm. He said the store will close at 4pm and they will set up and put some new signs up and prep for sale and then at 6pm they will be reopening the store and the Pre will be officially on sale. So you can expect me to be there at 4pm Saturday afternoon waitly eagerly for my Palm Pre.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
