I hope this isn't it as far as the instinct goes. I've been waiting pretty patiently for the Dash to be announced. Does anybody know if this thing is still going to be released or am I waiting for a ghost?
I'm guessing that they are going to wait a year to release the touch2??? I still have my original env phone because I haven't seen anything worthwhile enough to get rid of it!
don't get me wrong...if the iphone was one another service AND had some kind of expandable memory then I would buy it without hesitation. I'm not even waiting for a Pre...I have a smartphone for work, why would I want one for myself? I'm waiting on a media phone to come out for verizon or sprint that is going to MAKE me pay 200-300 for it.
I had ATT last year for almost a month had to cancel it. I started out with one of their free phones to try out their service and everywhere I went EVERY call was dropped at least once and data speeds were so slow I just gave up on using it. when I called their tech dept to see if there was anything they could do they told me to take the phone back and try another carrier....so I did and went back to verizon. I have a personal use phone and a work phone. My phone is with verizon and my work phone is through sprint. I've never had a call drop out on me and I get great data speeds everywhere I go.
I would try T-Mobile but at least they had the decency to tell me up front that the service wouldn't work where I lived.
Just for reference I work in washington DC...Supposedly one of ATT's best service area's...
"Other devices may have made it to the mark a bit quicker but, any way you shake it, selling 50 million of any consumer electronics device is pretty darn impressive, especially when the device in question is often laden with contracts and hefty monthly bills."
Wow...even the first line of the article tells you they were just reaching a benchmark...
This is still a huge disappointment! I still have a year left on my verizon contract and I still like my env but I've been in the market for a new phone. Since ATT and T-Mobile's coverage is basically non-existant at my house I have either sprint or verizon to choose from....and yet neither one has a phone that would drive me to open a new contract...
I was going to go ahead and pick up an Instinct 2 when it came out but if this is all that we are going to get then forget it. I might as well keep my env for another year....
]Where is the Instinct 2? Samsung Dash? where's the accelerometer? the 5MP camera? Is this really it? This is grandma with a facelift!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
