I don't know about anybody else but I don't see the advatage of having a multi-touch keyboard on the DROID. I have a G1 and the only time I use the on screen keyboard is if I need to type one handed in portrait mode. So if I am typing one handed in portrait mode how the heck is multi touch going to help?

Either way, I'm sure that the multi-touch keyboard will be added through software updates. Google has been good about pushing out things like this in its updates.
@ Red

Sorry Red but you are misinformed. The MyTouch (HTC Magic) has 512 MB ROM and 288 MB RAM while the G1 (HTC Dream) has 256 MB ROM 192 MB RAM. It is certainly not a huge leap in the specs department but it is a difference. The Hero has the same specs as far as memory goes as the MyTouch so you should see the MyTouch going to 2.0 and beyond.
I like the idea of a front facing loud speaker a lot. I hate when I watch a video on my G1 that the speaker is on the back of the phone. I have to hold my hand in a particular way on the back to hope the sound bounces off my hand so I can hear it better while watching. I hope that HTC finds a way to have front speakers on all of their devices!
It's only taken Apple two years to figure out picture messaging ... why would they want to rush to get Flash working on the iPhone.
I would show off my DSi to my coworkers. We have a weekly Mario Kart tourney so everybody that I work with has a DS Lite, I would love to be the first with a DSi.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
