So, can someone tell me the easiest way to use Google Maps Navigation that doesn't involve owning a phone? I already have an iPhone, but it looks like Apple is going to hold up the app for as long as possible.
Did you just answer your own question? O_O
@SC40095 There's an even bigger problem, as you'll need an Internet connection for Google Maps Navigation to work with an iPod Touch. It streams all it's map data from the Internet, none of it is stored locally. I do see Google partnering with some hardware manufacturers and wireless carriers to create a dedicated PND that ONLY runs Google Maps Navigation and charge $10 a month to use it.
I'm just surprised that people have to pay for a monthly fee when AT&T is using YOUR internet connection. Does the box at least come free?
@Wormania

Being paid to do things does wonders for motivation. Plus, there's someone breathing down your neck if it's bad!
Where's the option for:

1) I already own a PS3
2) I have enough already
3) I'm too broke to buy anything this holiday season

???
I don't think it double stacks, as in order to get to student pricing, you have to go to a separate area of the site, which is why I bought my iMac 2 weeks ago. No real point in waiting.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
