Seriously, dont get your hopes up. O2 has been messing us around for over a month now, see here: http://forum.o2.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=24530&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Do yourself a favour and buy an HTC Hero.
I have been waiting for this phone since April and it looks sooo good. Just hurry up and get to the UK!

He mentioned that is was not sim locked, does that mean I could buy from the O2 Germany website and buy a UK sim for it here? Or would it be better to avoid language/wrong plug problems and wait the few weeks for a UK release?
£40 month! No thanks
Does anyone know when it will be released in the UK?

Oh and I am pretty sure it DOES have a digital compass, it would be a complete fail if it didn't have one of those...
Is there a hidden rule that all Android handsets need to be butt ugly?

Stop messing around with this junk and release the Galaxy/i7500 already!
This is all very nice but why cant they release it with Android? It'd be sooooo much more exciting that way!
@ Monsterplay
I think you could be right, the images here: http://www.gsmarena.com/photos_of_samsung_s8000_leak__5_mp_camera_the_rest_is_a_mystery-news-839.php look very similar. The buttons, shape and the giveaway cube all match with the x-ray image. Lets hope this is an Android device!
Please, please, please be the i7500!!!
The X-ray looks like it may be it, but the volume rocker seems a little lower than the other photos I have seen.. yes I have studied it in that much detail ;)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
