The X3 will match up nicely with HTC Leo. If the rumored specs are correct then the X3 has slight advantage with 8MP camera and some internal memory. From there though its a matter of preference between Android and WinMo. I, for one, have been waiting eagerly for both these devices but the Touch Pro2 with its incredible keyboard is still currently the best and I am about to get it.

I heard some heresay about there being ads on Android? Is this true? Because if so that would be a HUGE con for me. (It's unfortunate for the Zune HD as well; it looked pretty good.)

No fanaticism please. WinMo with TouchFlo 3D, Android and other open source OSs, and iPhone's OS are all great on the basis of design, usability, and ORGANIZATION. I don't care how far into the OS you can customize, if it doesn't organize and display my data properly, I don't care much for it.
I have to say this doesn't look as smooth as the previous pictures. Hopefully its all because of the picture. Its good to see a smiling Moto face after all those sad ones and this phone seems great but I don't think it will save Moto. Moto's been on a downward spiral for a while now.
@Jonathan:

This phone is very nice with its design, keyboard, Android, camera, and memory being shipped with it but SE Xperia X3 was leaked first so I think thats the first polished Android phone. It will be very interesting to see if Motorola has done anything with the UI and what kind of processor this thing is packing.

So far the X3 and this phone are perfect; X3 with a better camera and larger screen but no keyboard, Moto with its keyboard. One of these two phones would meet anyones needs.
Don't forget us Canadians too! But unfortunately we always seem to be late. I mean the HTC Touch Diamond released recently for us and already Diamond2 is out and Rogers is just releasing the G1. Yea... I've given up on North America a while ago, looking to import me a Samsung i8910. :P
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
