Can I do that and port my AT&T number to VZW? I'm under the assumption I need to visit a store for that.
Wake up Early and dump my iPhone. Can't wait.
I gave up my BB Storm & Verizon because the Storm just lacked what I needed which is an excellent web-reach phone and provided a decent interface (keyboard) for email. I've gotten use to the keyboard and love my jailbreak 3G but I wont be buying another Apple product based on what they have shown as near totalitarian attitude as you can get. They've become the "man in the screen". I'm hoping the Android market gets up to speed and VZW picks up these phone because they now how a decent size niche to fill; the hard core phone freaks you'll find around here.
How about BlackBerry more specifically the Storm 2? What's your take?
I know Google being a large and public corporation must conform to certain business standards and practices but I'm wondering; since Google does not have any further apps in the pipeline with Apple, why not release their rejected apps to the Jailbreak community? This would probably jeopardize what remains of Apple & Google's relationship, more so for Google where they may lose being the primary search and map provider for the iPhone, but again, they could just release the apps via Cydia. Hey, here's a thought; Google has some damn smart people who probably already have their own loader app for the iPhone which circumvents the app Store and iTunes and if they don't I'm sure they could develop one; what would the legal ramifications be for that?
I switch from Verizon/BB Storm to the iPhone/AT&T. I've been waiting for a web friendly samrt phone that's easy to use and hoped the Storm would be it but it wasn't. I do not like AT&T. I think they're voice quality and coverage are poor compared to VZW and would switch back to VZW in a heart beat if they picked up the iPhone, ETF or not. I did so when getting the iPhone and would do it again to go back.
Thanks for the tip Susur. Unfortunately, the hack only applies to the Windows Mobile 6.
I thought that was the case. That sucks, I'm in the same boat.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
