What is the point of this? The GPS on the 3gs series phone is superb (better than most GPS only devices). With A2DP its easy to connect the phone's audio output to a car stereo. And a 12v charger nor suction mount isn't exactly revolutionary.

Seems like I already have all these items, and didn't need to spend another 200 clams to get it.

Sorry TomTom, your app is great (though I still want traffic and other features not yet available), but your little accessory is a failure.

I'm just gonna stick with the app
I can say that my 3gs gets a lot hotter than my 3g ever did. Noticeable warm on the back.
I think we'll see more competition for this. The new GPS hardware on the 3gs phone is FAR superior to the older models. I can get solid and reliable locks in places I wouldn't have even tried before. There are other GPS apps (some which include 800+ mb of maps) out there before I don't think they take advantage of the new hardware which will open doors to new street by street directions.
My phone, in Alaska, just departed . . .
Mine is showing a delivery date of the 17th as well, but I'm willing to bet US Customs will throw a wrinkle in the timing of things. I'd love to have it tomorrow but I'm not holding my breathe.
I got my notification today. The email says 'delivers by 22nd' but the UPS tracking link says it'll be here tomorrow (17th)
Does this install a new email viewer app, or does it simply add functionality to existing email app to handle the exchange attachments? The screen shots are hard to see and no other details are provided.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
