Agreed, this is amazing work. Just imagine the possibilities for this application. Very cool stuff.

BUT, what I REALLY want to know is, what phones are they using in this video? Did anyone else wonder about this? The phone the girl holds up ~ 51secs (pause at the zoom @ 54secs) is not anything I recognize even from Android rumors/leaks. The screen is HUGE, and it's covered in what I like to call "stealth tape", like the kind they put on new cars during road tests. It may be an iPhone due to the form factor and screen size, but why would they cover it like that? Also, in the beginning where dude is setting his profile, it appears that the phone has a front-facing camera as he's looking directly down at it while making the changes. Looking a little closer, the edges of the phone appear to be rounded - pause @ 58secs and look @ the top-right corner of the phone.. the tape looks square but clearly the device has rounded edges.

So lets see, a touchscreen phone with a very large screen, rounded edges, a great touch UI (could be iPhone or Android), and a front-facing camera?? Could this be the Huawei U8230 ?!?! My detective eyes and ears are clearly intrigued, hoping that it's not an iPhone and something much cooler than that.

What does everyone else think?
.. A new LG Android device that will be LTE-ready? As a "feeling-left-out" Android-fan, I can only hope VZWs 'Droids get here soooon.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
