It's actually improved a lot. It's at a stage where given players I think it could be considered a really good MMO. But it has the reputation of the bad launch to live down which prevents the game from attracting players who might really like the game.

I have a cousin who was born with fingers that look very similar the leftmost two fingers.

So in a way this cover is more offensive than the previous one because at least the previous one didn't look like any living person's fingers.

Someone needs to make a game where you fight as the Gurkhas in Iraq and watch as the people responsible for these things cry trying to decide whether to give a tax break or not :)

Most WW2 games seem culturally more American than British, even the ones that feature Britain as a playable side, since they are so stereotyped towards American expectations of what a typical British person should be like.
Imo the British in Company of Heroes are a good example of Brits done well in a WW2 game.

Well if it means that we see a 'GTA V: London' in order to get 'culturally british' tax breaks then it'll have been worth it for sure...

Empire Total War might be an example of a game that is 'culturally British' imo, it's full of sly remarks and cultural references in the text descriptions made by the UK-based CA team. Not to mention the fact that GB as a faction has so many unique units.

It's also great in theory if you live in the UK and looking for a job... tax cuts for games devs = more games devs = more games industry jobs here :)


Although on the other hand, the 'culturally british' requirement might counteract the incentive of the tax break, and the govt will just lose money without the benefit of extra jobs.

We'll see I guess, but I think it's an interesting idea.
