@Oflife The reason being that SonyEricsson is a different company to Sony corp. Sony have already threatened to pull the plug on SonyEricsson before but a new management team has promised to put things right. They need to really focus on their reliability, consumers are only going to be burned so many times before they lose faith in the brand....
@Talys No way you've used a Wii to browse! The Wii browser channel takes an eternity to load, The spinning blue circle and high pitched 'ring' as it loads will haunt you until the day you die. At least it's now free, but Nintendo could really take a tip from Google with regards to speeding up the web browsing experience. I thought it was my internet connection, but have since brought a PS3 and that is buttery heaveness in comparison to the Wii experience.
@Jon - hold on - @ Jon?? who the hell is Jon? Can we edit comments? I thought we all wanted to edit comments - own up now whoever told Engadget what we wanted instead was a weird layout and serif font, the joke's over and I hope you're pleased with yourself.
@Jon Good call - I can definitely see the future PS4 having Google Chrome as the other OS - Microsoft will probably bundle a lite version of Windows7 on the next xbox in retaliation - good times all round for the next gen of consoles!
Ahem, perhaps Google should deal with spelling mistakes the Engadget way..... read the comments on this story...... (http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/12/new-western-digital-wd-tv-live-media-player-hits-best-buy/) :D
A man dressed as a giant handkerchief?
I agree with you to a point, but actually after the very disappointing PES2008 and only slightly redeeming PES2009, the gameplay in PES2010 is finally back to winning ways (although they seem to have lost the support of the reviewers!). Konami really needs a brand new triple-A IP to help it out in 2010, although I'm pretty sure a current gen release of Zone of the Enders would help considerably?
@Gruv
I bet that mistake has the sweat literally pooring from the proof-reader's poors!
Ah, yes the conspiricy theorists - and I suppose the statement: "Ports are looking pretty dismal -- there's no FireWire, no SD card slot, no dedicated line-in. Instead you get just two USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, Mini DisplayPort, and a combo headphone / line-in jack. That's pretty weak in a thousand-dollar machine." was straight from Apple's marketing dept. too?
He's actually only bitchin' at the profit margins. People used to buy massively over-specced PC's when all they wanted was the web and a bit of word processing. Netbooks came and changed all that - let alone the extra packaging design overheads involved with laptops to drive up the cost to the manufacturer. With Windows 7 he is merely hoping for the good ol' days of people needing more powerful, cheap to produce desktop boxes with a lovely shiny 'designed for Windows7 badge' to bring in the window shoppers. We will see I guess....
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
