From the brando web page:

Up to 15Mb/s Read; Up to 6Mb/s write

Fast enough for what I need to use it for; I just ordered the 8 gig version.

I can't wait to lose it.
What a crock.

Look at the Franklin CDU-680. It fully supports win, mac, and linux. It has a built in Flash Drive with all the necessary software for all the different OSes. It has an external antenna jack. It has true GPS (which also has its own separate external antenna jack). Oh, and not only has it been out for months, and works really really well, but it's also smaller than the 597.

Today I'm wearing a Maurice Lacroix.

I'm wearing a Hublot Big Bang today.

I'm wearing a Bell & Ross Orange watch right now.

Before you shell out all that money, you might want to check out (listen to) the etymotic earbuds. Many people (me included) think they sound far, far superior to any Shure. Etymotic makes a $100 version and a $330 version.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
