i want a fuze!
It's the naming scheme that Canon uses to be hip in the US. Everywhere else in the world:

Rebel = 300D
XT = 350D
XTi = 400D
XSi = 450D

So the naming progression makes sense, just not in the US. Go figure, blame the marketing team.
I'm studied EE undergrad, and as far as I know we always used SSD to stand for solid state devices - which could be a number of things that use transistor based memory.
happy birthday! has it been 4 years already? good times, good times.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
