Sprint would buying landline customers; they have a lot of options after that - either use their tech to beat the Verizon suit, convert them to some sort of home-cellular technology, or try and beat or stall Verizon in court long enough to do what blah suggested - switch them to wimax. Vonage customers have already shown they are willing to try some new technology. That might be attractive enough to Sprint to buy.
Hope this is better than the KR-1 (Kyocera branded, but D-Link manufactured). I'm on my second replacement unit, and it still won't hold a a WLAN connection for more than a few minutes. The place I bought it from isn't getting any answers from either Kyocera (who is supposed to be providing tech support) or D-Link.

We need to buy three more for work, but we're holding off to see if the new models work better.
Not available for Cingular Wireless users...

I placed the order at about 10:20 EST on the 25th - my zip code (Alexandria, VA) was working then. I got the standard confirmation email from Amazon, and a second verifying that my Cingular account was authorized to upgrade. Now it shows this for the status:

So, does this mean the Palm 750 I ordered from Amazon (thanks, Boy Genius - http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2006/11/24/palm-750-available-for-sale-on-amazoncom/)
and is listed as "arriving after December 25th" is going to be really late for Christmas?
I'm sure you really know this, but Top Gun was about the Navy, not the Air Force. It's like making an Apple vs. Dell slip...
My original 5GB iPod served me well. I took that thing everywhere (including Iraq) and never had a problem with it, and even got something for it on eBay when it was time to move on-
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
