The engineering ring featured in the video (by Kineket Design) is made of 316L stainless steel.

316L is a high quality and durable surgical stainless steel.which has hypoallergenic and anti-bacterial properties for those with metal allergies; along with being resistant to corrosion, staining, oxidation, tarnishing, fading, scratching, and rusting.
James Sonne-

Are you stating that the lack of a curved planet gear is a design flaw and "disappointing"?

If yes, then it's obvious that you are neither an engineer or mechanically inclined.

It is dismal that you took the time to deride the Canadian engineering ring; and yet without courtesy, you negatively comment without having read the author's post.

If you had read the Author's post, you would have learned the origins, symbol, and meaning this engineering ring represents to those who have proudly worked hard to earn the right to wear the Canadian engineering ring.
What, and how much, garbage do you handle on a daily basis?

How little, if any, personal hygiene do you practice on a daily basis?

Is it correct to say that you do not own a college class ring with intricate design engravings, or an Omega Speedmaster watch with intricate steel links and rotating bezel?
@jon

Enjoy your poor voice call quality, sporadic 3G service, untenable monthly phone bills, and constant search for a wi-fi connection so that you can use some of the features of your dated...let me guess...iphone!

Have a great ATT day because ATT loves your $$$$$$ :)
@troyboytn

You'll be happy to know that Sprint was voted #1 in BOTH voice quality and data service satisfaction by IT professionals; along with the superior voice quality, data coverage, and significant amount monthly savings over ATT, Verizon, and T-Mobile,
@Patlex

Thanks for the link!

I sincerely hope the actual Supersonic retains the trackball shown in your link, as the trackball appears to be missing in the blurry photo above.
@Cam

In what city/area do you not receive Sprint coverage?
@JustinY

Because these "Same Phone - Big Differences" reasons:

> Sprint provides superior call quality
> Sprint provides superior 3G coverage
> Over 2 years, the ATT Wireless service will cost $1,680 MORE than Sprint with comparable features such as:

Unlimited Talk (Anytime and Mobile-to-Mobile)
Unlimiited Data
Unlimited Text
Voice Guided Navigation
Mobile TV

This is not a flame attack, rather they're just the facts.
Indeed the funny part is that the Verizon Droid, Eris, and HTC are NOT compatible.

In fact, although the user pays a $29.99 "Data Feature" surcharge, the Droid and Eris are DENIED access to V Cast and Vz Navigator.

So much for the idea of choice, openness, and getting what you pay for. .
@o29

Consider this:

Charging Android, Blackberry, WinMo, and Palm customers a $29.99 "Data Feature" surcharge, while denying Android customers the choice of services, equals more income for Verizon and less choice/services for the consumer.

If you have an Android on Verizon, you can't even compare and make your own decision....it's been decided for you by Verizon.

Sprint give you the choice, Verizon doesn't.

All of which, is a indisputable fact.

Regarding the Verizon Navigation, it is known that it is not on par to Sprint's Navigation by Telestar.

Having a Sprint Touch Pro 2 and a Sprint Hero, I know from experience that the Sprint Navigation by Telestar works very well and is an essential and very useful app.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
