Joshua Topolsky for Governor of South Carolina!
I'm assuming you could see the battery % on both phones because it standard on 3Gs and Josh's 3G was jailbroken. Josh, if you're reading this, please confirm.
This update would be nice if Verizon supported it! As of Aug. 31, Verizon was not offering nor supporting Dial-Up Networking on the Motorola Q to customers in Southern California. I can not understand why Motorola rolled out this update if its only U.S. carrier can not take advantage of one of the features. Motorola even has instructions for dial-up networking posted on its site (e.g. User Name: your mobile phone number @vzw3g.com, Password: vzw) that are written for VZW customers. However, don't bother following the instructions because according to Verizon tech support, Verizon has yet to provision this service.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
