Yeah, it's truly stupid that they released this phone w/o the high-speed data transfer options. Why would they include this in the Hermes and not the Excalibur... it puts many enthusiast users in the terrible place of having to choose between two models, neither of which quite meets their needs.
The result of this idiotic move is that I will now be waiting for another manufacturer (probably Samsung) to get this right before making a purchase... BOOOO to HTC.
Looks like it is actually Quad Band and will be almost as thin as the "Q".

"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
