Just got back from it! Was pretty fun. Some guy pulled up in a yellow Lambo and set off all the car alarms. Priceless.
[text that didn't make it in my original post for whatever reason] I really will be pissed off tomorrow if I don't get an email with the whereabouts of my preordered N97. I paid well over $750 for it. "You'll be the first to have your hands on it when it arrives in your country." Damn right I'd better or I smell a lawsuit for wrongful and misleading advertising.... that's how angry I am right now.
How is it possible the stores are getting them before all the pre-orders? If that's the case, I smell false advertising which could lead to some very angry people.
They also have the N97 for pre-order for the lovely price of only €834! (A little over $1000). Time to take out a loan for my next phone.
What a great article. I drink what I want because I want to, not because some mongoloid on tv says that "this" drink is in. I have yet to find a bar here, IN Boston, that can make a "BOSTON Sidecar". I once asked for a Black Martini, for giggles, just to try something new and the bartender had no clue. I had to look it up on my phone, on Google and give the order. I might have as well hopped behind the bar and made it myself. Don't get me wrong, I'll have a Harpoon IPA or BlueMoon with the best of them, but is it too much to ask for a person that work in an establishment, who's only job is to make drinks, know how? (Pardon the rant, but it nerves me to no end.)
Didn't they show this online already?
I'm surprised that more states haven't imposed a similar ban. I smoke, but in the comfort of my own home and not in front of, or near places where it would annoy. With such a large number of smokers in financial district in Boston, it's quite annoying while going into a bar only to walk into a cloud of smoke. Places should really and try install those smoke absorbing, communal ash trays. There are two in front of the Prudential Center near the Cheesecake Factory and they have really helped with the smoke and smell.
I've been looking at the Samsung Omnia for about 2 months and was able to confirm with an AT&T rep at last week that they were in fact getting this phone. It will be released in September, only because the iPhone is dropping in 2 weeks. It will come in two flavors: 8gb and 16gb. It has GPS, 5mp camera, Samsung's TouchWiz interface. Retail, it's about $800 but with a 2 year contract, it'd be around $500-$600 but the person I spoke said it may be even less because Americans are not used to paying so much for a phone. I hope this helps anyone interested in this phone.
I have the 5G 60b and now the new version is $250!? The 80gb for 350. Plus, these claim to have a 60% brighter screen with adjustability and a 75% better battery life. The battery life is all I care about.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
