Which one is usable in the US and which one is usable in Europe? Sorry I can never keep the frequencies straight.
I'm actually a little sad that this phone doesn't have a GSM sibling - I would definitely scoop one of these up as a secondary phone for when I'm in the outdoors (or heck, even at home sometimes - I'm clumsy).

I have a sport model from Nokia that is rubberized, has an LED flashlight and a bunch of cool outdoorsy add-ons...and it's been a great phone but I would like to replace it!
I wouldn't be that bothered by it. I'm used to having the same thing with my XBOX Arcade games as well as the Wii Ware stuff. Just because I bought it for one, doesn't mean I get it for any and every further device down the line.
I thought that T-Mobile did legally trademark the color pink for cell phone services the same way UPS has trademarked that shade of brown for shipping related stuff. Engadgetmobile using that same shade of pink to report on mobile services and potentially earning revenue off click-thrus, therefore puts the site in a gray area.
Or couldn't you just recycle your phone?
Could it be that the "snarky" comment was really just saying that this simply isn't a Black Friday Deal?

Let's try to cut back on the iPhone Conspiracies now, shall we?
I am a mac user and would consider this device! In fact, when I saw the cheap refurb units I even seriously considered it until my research showed that there is nothing that makes the Zune work on a Mac.

Therefore my short-list of media players is: an Archos 605 (for functionality) or iPod Touch (for engineering/design).

Sorry for double post.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
