No android marketplace?

Boo.

I'll wait for one that has it.
That is interesting that the wording is there. They clearly already allow youtube (the Droid ships with youtube functionality baked in) and the Pandora app is widely-known to be one of the most popular downloads for it already.
The point of making a reservation is so you won't have to wait in line to get it or make other people wait in line. I much prefer that system to the "iWait in line all week long and don't get one because they didn't have enough" method.
This is ridiculous. "Multitouch" is not synonymous with "Pinch to zoom". Why are all the news sites continuing to confuse the two?

The DROID does have multitouch. it does have it enabled. It's used in the on-screen keyboard, for example.

What it doesn't have is one particular use case of multitouch; pinch to zoom.

Any idea if best buy plans on me-tooing the early open? I planned on going over lunch to pick it up, but I'd prefer to go before work so I can lord my new King Nerdship over my coworkers all day.
The Droid does take video. It even has a youtube widget to upload it directly. here's a sample a reviewer shot:

Just got a call back from best buy. At least in one store they are now aware they are preselling them :)

It's a $50 deposit.

:) :) :)
none of my local best buys know anything about this yet. They probably haven't sent word down to the trenches yet.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
