i had the same issue - first go into the app and go through its menu, it will ask for to allow for push, say yes. then go to settings on the iphone and you'll see it in there with tap tap and the others....
push apps: Tap Tap Revenge 2.5/ AP news/ Birthday Reminder/Voice4Mail/IM+
More: Zoom feature no longer works in HTML5 sites... can't zoom in on CNN.
TUAW: Run with the scoop. HTML5 optimized pages not supporting copy and paste. Try Fox News, CNN... anything with "m" entered once you enter a site through iPhone's safari. Darn it, a lot of folks are going to need to re-design their sites.
1:17pm Boston time - 3rd attempt at 3.0 software, 2 times it "timed out" right before completion.... 3rd times a charm i hope
1:06pm in Boston I got the 3.0 software to start downloading... re-booted iTunes and a minute later at 12:06pm it hit. :)
I guess no one knows how to install 1.1.3 from the link above, oh well, will have to do it tonight at home thru iTunes. Great coverage of Macworld, though for less advanced users a bit more explanation on how to install the 1.1.3 download would have been nice.
so i'm at work not using iTunes; how do I download 1.1.3 to my iPhone. I have the wire and see the link above in this post, but do i have to create a folder first or just plug-in my iPhone in and click the link? A little insight is appreciated as I don't want to f-up this thing, thanks.
Wow! I live/work 20 miles north of Boston... what good is cell tower triangulation if it doesn't form some.. triangle.. somewhere! Really, if this feature only works in cities what good is it to the rest of us who aren't on the "grid?!" :(
So, is the Google Maps cell tower triangulation in there? Is it cool and kind of like GPS?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
