Well i have one way to help fix the economy. Get the Gov't to stop spending money it doesn't have and find ways to cut back on unnecessary spending. I mean it is so easy a cave man could do it.

No seriously I have a good way to get things fixed. Get Gov't out of the mortgage, auto, finance, healthcare and regular business and just make sure that they are just an oversight on industry. Not the end all be all solution. they should provide a guideline for how business should act and then let the smart people who run those business run their businesses. If they run smart and succeed, then they should be left alone to reap those rewards. If they do stupid stuff and fail, they should be allowed to fail and there should be no bailouts for people who cant manage their business. The survivor businesses should be able to come in and pick up the pieces. That is how the system is supposed to work.
Hey can't find the battery indicator switch to percentage. I did go under settings and then under general then under usage and I did not find it there. Running 3.0 software.
Yeah This game rocks.
IM going to post a sensible post seeing as there is allot of chaos about this HL2 issue.
Im going to use facts and Im also going to take some stabs at the usual forum trolls.

First of all, any one who thinks Gabe Newall is relevant in gaming right now is smoking crack.
I haven't seen a new original game that he or Valve has put out in the past year or 2 that has been successful and a wildly acclaimed as HL2.

Secondly, every one in the X360 camp you should be shooting yourself, im surprised that you would go out of your way and defend a person who slammed your console. The only good thing that i will say that he is a bitter man and hates everything that is not Windows XP.

Thirdly,
Fernado, I really thought you were banned from joystiq fro being a forum troll. You rush out to say negative about the PS3 and the you go to slam and abuse others just to make yourself look like you are a savior of the forums. Trust me things were alot better if you wernt around here. Every time i go in to a Joystiq post and i read yours, I feel like beating the crap out of you because of your blatant stupidity!
I have no problem about you liking the 360 and wii.
But everytime that you mention thank god i have the 360 and wii it makes you look like a small insignificant mouse. If you have something relevant to contribute to a post please do so otherwise do me and every one on Joystiq a favor....
SHUT THE HELL UP!

Joe, Im not going to be as harsh on you as i was on Fernando as I think that he will not reform in to a decent anything, but please refrain from name calling and using words that belittle your post. People are right, they are rating you down because you are being like Fernando, not because of your posts.

Ok im done with my rant. Flame away!
Hauoli La Hanau PS3!!!
I have two words for you
SOCOM Confrontation
You just don't get it. Sony included the hard drive in the system from the get go. If they took it out at a lower price they would be accused for gimping the console for a critical feature. Secondly all of the developers know that they can use the hard drive for extra content, because everyone has a hard drive in their system. Microsoft's console does not have a hard drive in every one So the developers have to develop to the lowest common denominator X box 360 Core, not premium, and not the elite, the core. If they did not then you would have an outcry from those people who spent the 299 for their system and dont have the hard drive. All extra content for the popular games is done as an after thought.

This is also why the PS3 can get just online only multi-player games because developers know every one has the hard drive in their system.

Let me ask you one thing how would you do game saves or how would you get in game music or pictures for your background?
Let me guess if you don't have a card reader...... i think you need to have a hard drive.
My my that is brilliant! Give the guy who thought that up a bonus and a company car.

Oh screw the whole Hard drive sizes. If im not mistaken, i think that the 360 has 3 different hard drive sizes to choose from. So your whole hard drive argument goes out the window.

Secondly in order to use X box live to any usable extent you have to have ..... wait a minute it is coming to me.... A HARD DRIVE, how brilliant of Microsoft for actually having the fore thought to have that piece of tech to use the online function to its true extent. Same goes for downloading pictures and videos and game demos and trailers.

There would be no criticism over the whole hard drives thing if Microsoft just had hard drives in all their systems from the get go. They did with the original Xbox but for some reason they didn't with the 360.

One more thing if you don't like the hard drive that is in a ps3, go and get any 2.5 SATA laptop hard drive and stick it in there, or a usb external hard drive. In order to change a 360 hard drive you can one buy Microsoft's proprietary hard drive which is limited at 120 GB or plug in a usb external hard drive.

Like it or not game consoles will be more computer like going forward to the point that the lines will eventually get blurred.

Sorry for the rant!
I really want to ask every one who hates the ps3 one thing......

WHAT GAME DO YOU WANT TO HAVE FOR THE SYSTEM?!
Please answer this question!

Oh by the way all the people who think that FPS and Sports are the only genera's for game systems are morons, they need to get a life and play other types of games, maybe you would enjoy gaming a little more that you do. You might be shocked on how many games that are out there that are really good.

People who buy a console for one game (I'll use Halo 3 for example since it is one of the hottest games now) are going to wish they haven't spent that much money ( System, Accessories, and Web subscription if applicable) in the first place. I really dont care wether you have a PS3, Xbox 360, or Wii.
You all are morons!

Just my 2 cents.

Oh before i get flamed and called really stupid names by people who cant formulate an intelligent response.

I have bought game systems and games since the Genesis days and have over 30+ games for each system I own ( PS2, PS, Genesis, Game Gear) The PS3 I just got and I have 5 games so far, and they are spread out over all genera! I have played every one and enjoyed each of them! And I still have each system and their games!
Oh man I have been wanting one since they announced it last year at WWDC06. I was @ work for the key note thankfully i had my phone with opera mini and read the keynote on engadgetmobile. I was goin nuts about the phone when they announced it and i cant wait to get a hold of one.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
