SLOW. Freezes Firefox. Have to "log in" now to leave comments?? WTF? Is this a bank?

Also, what happened to the wap site? Yeah, I use that one b/c it's fast and clean, or at least it used to be, seems to be gone now????
Considering the US doesn't have so much as even two national GSM providers that use the same 3G frequency bands, this has been and will continue to be a slam dunk for AT&T. No reason for them to make a CDMA version considering it's used in about 20% of the world maybe. Because TMO waited forever to buy spectrum, they got stuck with the oddball frequency, which makes the devices for them either highly customized to them or, not cost effective for manufacturers to produce.

Why would Apple make a CDMA version when the modern world (sans the US) uses GSM? Forgetting about which one is better, just look at potential return on investment. The US would be the biggest buyer of it, and a complete re-work of the code for one country? Nah, just doesn't make sense.
That is what Net Neutrality will PREVENT FROM HAPPENING. Neutral as it is today. Without neutrality, the Internet will be run and governed by the telecoms themselves...eliminating torrents and the free speech that we enjoy today.

Stop watching fox and do some real research...
Although totally unexpected, this is not the first time Verizon has broken ties with all other telecoms and supported pro-consumer policies. They originally fought hard against local number portability, but then did a complete turnaround and fully supported it.
Wow, I didn't realize there were any SK users left after what they've been subjected to. Run Forest Run
At the end of the day, the massive loss of customers might be more harmful than any lawsuit. Seems as though people have a fair enough reason to ditch TMO or at least get a new line discount on a smartphone that can be backed up instead of being stored only in the cloud.

The loss of trust is as bad if not worse than the data loss. It's sad, but the SK and Danger's days are probably numbered.
I'm not a SK user, so I could be wrong here, but I thought that the outage was about 2 weeks before TMO admitted that the data was gone? If that's not the case, I proudly stand corrected. But the saga goes back weeks since the original data outage.

I just really question MS' commitment to Danger, particularly with letting something like this happen under their watch. I know they didn't design any of the Danger platform, but at the end of the day, they do own and manage the company.
Wow, so it only took MS a couple of weeks and all the bad PR to finally pull it together. Nice. And these are the guys who are pushing Office Online and all the other cloud computing.

I'm not a sidekick user, but am very happy for the all of them out there. I have a strong feeling that the platform will either be totally revamped or simply killed off completely after this event. I mean, really, how much time, energy, and money will MS invest into this platform when they're all ga-ga with WinMo??
It's not *unlimited*. It's ONLY 5GB per month with an overage rate of $500.00 per gig and the ability for AT&T to disconnect your service at their whim for "abuse". Consistent with all other carriers. But it's definitely not unlimited.
This is just poor design. T-Mobile should have never agreed to something so vulnerable. The USERS should have never agreed to purchase a completely dumb terminal like that. T-Mobile is responsible for the service and shouldn't pass the buck. Microsoft is completely responsible for Danger. Both of them are at serious fault. But at the same time, ANY user who 100% trusts the cloud to do everything all of the time is putting their own selves at risk.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
