Indeed. I don't even see if it's edge lit or local dimming... Of course, they're even going to try to live up to those contrast ratios, it'd better be local dimming.

Well, Sony is a record and movie company too. If they can't erk out some synergy out of this (and Apple did it without being merged), then they should just break up or something.
Digital Copy isn't really to promote the Blu-Ray standard; rather it promotes the PSP. PSP penetration might be low in your market but try Asia...
Interestingly, it is actually Engadget US, not Engadget English anymore. I suppose the UK will be getting its own? How about English speakers in Asia? Aussie/NZ? I'm personally not a huge fan of country specific blogs.

"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body.
