palm products are great tools. their corporate structure is what's fucked. like a previous poster said "how could you just lay down and let the world pass you by" (not in those exact words)and expect people to take you seriously with incremental attempts at come backs.
Other than not getting at&t specific programs what's stopping people from using this on their branded 750's.
no wifi and no gps. suprise suprise
@mike
I think not including earbuds is mistake on palms part. There are plenty of cheaper model phones out there that come with them. The centro is basically a smaller treo with treo features which includes mp3 and video playback. I don't know where you live but in many states it's against the law to drive while on the phone unless your using a hands free kit. I live in NY and in my eyes it's a must have cause of the asshole drivers out here.

To everyone else who thinks this phone is to thick you must not have a smartphone bigger than the touch. I played with the centro at the digital life show and that thing is tiny. What are you comparing it against to get that it's huge, a couple of close up shots by engadget. Don't be stupid. It's almost the same size as the N95, but the N95 has wifi and GPS
a year is too long a time for palm not to drop products. reasuring palm investors must be the easiest part of eddys job, cause i know if i had money in palm it would be in htc's hands by now. WOW... a whole year for palm enthusist to wonder what else is out there....access ALP with sharp= new and improved treo's and centro's.
palm = done like a steak
i sampled a web browser for my treo 700p called universe with this feature. it was cool at first but the wow factor wears off fast when your trying select an item on the right side of the screen but have to wait till the virtual mouse moves from the left.
@licotto

stop hating on engadget for trying to light a fire under palms ass. the truth is palms OS is in engadgets top 5 for mobile (probably # 1 or 2)they hate to see it being wasted maybe because 80% of the office has treo's. i'm a big time lover of how simple palm is and i preach their greatness at work (usually before the phone resets because it needs a better update than whats out) engadget does it's fair share of mclovin palm and hating just like they do for everyone else
put palm os on there for ease of use and i might be in.
i won't be interested until i can spend less than $40,000 on one of these cars.There's no way the regular joe shmo who has a decent job can afford one of these kinda cars. every time one is produced it's priced as a god damn house is.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
