S.F. east bay. Not a single problem with TMO voice or data.
Uh, saying a SAN upgrade was "outsourced" to Hitachi is inaccurate. Most SAN vendors do all the maintenance for the customer as part of their support contracts for their high end units. It is not unusual to do so. I'm also willing to bet Danger's infrastructure is using virtualization tech like MS Hyper-V, and so suffer from the all to common attitude that they didn't need backups because everything was in a VM, even though servers being in VMs provides nothing in terms of disaster recovery.
But those of us with rooted G1s should be able to use this without issue.
I want the MyTouch 3G please. Booga Booga!
It would fragment PS3 market if the new version was actually faster in any real world game playing sense. Developers would have to code with the original rev in mind anyways.
The only difference with the Hero is the additional RAM. Otherwise, everything is the same as the G1: CPU, ROM, screen, everything.
Haykuro's special SPL also increases /system to 90MB. I'm currently running my G1 with it and cyanogen's ROMs and there's 27.5MB space still free.
I'm already running with a SPL that has expanded G1's /system partition to 90MB, and at the moment there's 27.5MB free, which is about the same as the mytouch and hero. My phone should be just fine for any updates coming down the pipe.
This seems to be exactly the same as the P3. That doesn't make sense.
I ran into a weird issue with this setup. I was in an area with bad signal, and every time I tried to call my boyfriend, I got dead air. Turned out the dead air was the Google Voice voice mail answering MY calls without giving a greeting. I ended getting notified of the number of calls I had tried making, and the recordings made while I was grumbling, wondering what was going on. I think you need to have good cell reception for the GV hand off to occur correctly.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
